The Gift of Friendships That Stand the Test of Time

Last night, I had the opportunity to reconnect with an incredible group of women. We were missing a few who are just as important to this story, but I lovingly call this group the “OGs.”

I’ve known these women for over two decades. Twenty years of life, change, growth, challenges, and everything in between.

What started as business relationships turned into lifelong friendships that have truly stood the test of time.

Over the years, we’ve all walked through our share of struggles, both professionally and personally. We’ve experienced successes, disappointments, unexpected turns, and new beginnings. Yet somehow, through it all, we’ve come out stronger, still cheering each other on, encouraging one another, and lifting each other up.

What a gift. What a blessing.

The beautiful irony is that the business that originally brought us together ultimately didn’t work out for any of us the way we had hoped. But something far more valuable remained: our friendship.

As I drove home last night, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a while. A renewed sense of excitement, confidence, and readiness to step into what’s next.

Listening to where everyone is today, hearing their stories, and seeing the different paths we’ve all taken was incredibly energizing and encouraging.

It reminded me of something these women helped teach me years ago:

Face your fear and do it anyway.

I have nothing to be afraid of. I have a story to tell, experiences to share, and a new chapter waiting to be written.

Not everyone will understand my journey. Not everyone will support the path I choose. And that’s okay.

The people who truly know me, know my heart, and know my story. And at the end of the day, that’s what matters.

I’m grateful for the years, the lessons, the laughter, the hard seasons, and the friendships that have endured through it all.

Sometimes the greatest blessing isn’t what comes from the business you build, but the people God places in your life along the way.

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” — Proverbs 17:17
